LITTLE LEAGUE ADOPTS CHANGES IN AGE DETERMINATION DATE

For more than 55 years in Little League, the age determination date has been July 31st. Starting in 2006, the date in all divisions of Little League Baseball will be April 30th of the current year. The date in all divisions of Little League Softball will be Dec. 31st of the previous year. The league age-determination date is the age a player has attained as of a specific date, for the purpose of placing the player in a particular division. This change will have a significant effect on KNLL and all Little Leagues worldwide. Full details, with answers to many of your questions, are available on the Little League International website.
